Sugar Free Cinnamon Sugar Toast

There are many ways to make cinnamon sugar toast...this is what I do! I keep plenty of cinnamon sugar mix on hand to make this quick breakfast treat anytime.
Author:
Recipe type: Breakfast
Ingredients
  • 1 slice freshly toasted warm bread, I use sprouted whole grain
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • many shakes of cinnamon sugar (see recipe below)Cinnamon Sugar Mix
  • 2 tablespoons sugar sub of your choice
  • 1 teaspoonceylon cinnamon, affiliate link
Instructions
  1. Mix together the sugar sub and cinnamon, and store in a shaker jar. A salt shaker works fine for finer grain sweeteners, but I like the bigger holes on a parmesan cheese shaker for the xylitol that I use. (The grains are too big to fit through a salt shaker lid)
  2. Toast your bread, and butter it.
  3. Sprinkle liberally with cinnamon sugar.
  4. Alternatively, mix butter and cinnamon sugar mix, and spread on untoasted bread, and broil until toasted.
Notes
THM type:
-if using an E bread, limit your butter to 1 teaspoon and serve with a lean protein and a serving of fruit to get your full healthy carb allotment.
*OR*
-you can use an low carb, "S" friendly bread like a Joseph's Pita, or a flatbread from Aldi's, and butter and sugar it liberally in and enjoy in an S setting.
*OR*
-you can use an E bread, and enjoy it in an S setting with liberal butter and that would be an S helper.
*OR*
-you can use an E bread, and a piece of fruit, and pair it with sausage, bacon, eggs, or other yummy S breakfast foods to create a crossover breakfast.
