Look no further from your pantry to discover several great indigestion remedies. Simple hot teas made from any of the following are very soothing to a rumbly tummy:
- fresh ginger, sliced or grated into a cup of hot water
- lemon (or just do a few teaspoons straight)
If you need to neutralize excess stomach acid, grab your box of baking soda. Just a teaspoon of baking soda dissolved in water will usually bring relief from too much acidity (but it can cause burping and it does contain large amounts of sodium). This is one I’d only use rarely, because you really want to support an acidic environment in your stomach, and in some cases, not having *enough* acid can cause acid reflux type symptoms.
