Natural Baby Products
My most favorite natural baby product is the amber necklace. I ordered two of them when my last baby was just a couple months old, since my sister was also expecting. My little guy was a champion napper, but when he started teething he not only broke out in the drools, but he would have trouble falling and staying asleep. After a few days of no naps, and a VERY crabby guy, I remembered about the necklaces and grabbed one. He was down for the count for hours just 30 minutes after putting his new necklace on.
When he started getting eye teeth, we found ourselves back at square one. He was too uncomfortable to sleep again, even with his amber beads on. So I grabbed my second strand, and he was again out and peacefully sleeping in less than a half hour after I added the second strand.
I immediately ordered 2 more for my sister, and I now highly recommend having two necklaces on hand for the molars and eye teeth. We still use the amber necklaces for sore throats or ear infections from time to time. It’s one of my favorite natural baby products that I’ve tried to date!
Baby’s Leaky Gut?
Did you know that babies are born with a permeable gut lining (leaky gut)? This is by design, so that they can more easily assimilate the milk and gut flora of Mama, which eventually will ideally create a healthy sealed gut barrier in a breastfed baby. But if Mama has digestive issues or is not fully breaking down foods, baby can experience lots of issues with allergies, eczema, and gas and other symptoms of an inflamed and reactive gut.
I love the idea of a specialized Mama probiotic to get Mama’s gut prepared for making good milk, supporting her health and baby’s.
