We’re starting week 3 of a 5 week Relaunch Giveaway party celebrating the new look here at Gwen’s Nest!
Week 1: We celebrated the Trim & Healthy category with two winners getting a copy of the Trim Healthy Mama book.
Week 2: the Rag Coat book was given away to this weeks winner in celebration of the Creative Home section of Gwen’s Nest.
Week 3: the giveaway will celebrate the Natural Remedies section of my site. I’m giving away a copy of Rosemary Gladstar’s book Medicinal Herbs: A Beginner’s Guide: 33 Healing Herbs to Know, Grow, and Use (affiliate link)
I own Rosemary’s Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health, (affiliate link) and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a great all around recipe book for herbal ideas. It includes everything from nutrition recipes (energy balls candy!) to baby care and even a men’s aftershave. It’s just a fun book! Rosemary is a very experienced herbalist, and her book is beautifully illustrated. I’ve not had a chance to see the Medicinal Herbs book yet, but I thought it would be a really neat way to get to know herbs if you’re new to them. I’ll let the winner choose whether they want Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health or the new Medicinal Herbs book.
If you’ve not yet poked around in the Natural Remedies tab, I invite you to do so. I love to share practical remedies and herbs and how we use them at my house. The series on my health crisis with high blood calcium and our families experience with whooping cough have been popular. I also review books, share favorite products, and post printable recipes for making your own at home remedies.
I also help admin the Herbal Chick Chat group on Facebook, which is a fun way to share experiences and idea.
Whether you’re new to the world of natural remedies, or are very experienced, I hope that you’ll enjoy reading and learning with me!
Hop on in and enter for a chance to win!

Tammy McCann says
I’ve been interested in herbs and natural remedies for several years. My favorite book is The Herbal Drugstore by Dr. Linda B. White, Steven Foster & the staff of Herbs for Health. Whenever we have a sickness or ailment in our family of 9, I look up the issue in this book and see what herbs are recommended. I’ve used it for colds and flu, coughs, and skin rashes, to name a few. Recently, I’ve become more interested in growing my own herbs. I would love to know more about how to do that!
Eirn says
I would love a chance also. I have no clue where to start with this subject.

Hmmm~ My favorite herbal creation is lemon/mint tea in the winter time. We grow lemon balm, which smells like heaven, and then dry it out and save it for the cold winter nights that come every year.
We only grow a handful of herbs but always enjoy learning more.
