Tonight, I was pointing out that “I didn’t mean to!” is not an acceptable excuse for accidents.
Especially accidents caused by frequently repeated carelessness, such as drowning a salad in so much dressing that it’s inedible.
Not that any of my angels would ever do such a thing.
So I was saying…
“The intent or lack thereof is not what is in question…it’s the results that we need to address. A person who causes a car accident might say ‘I didn’t mean to.’ But that doesn’t fix the cars or change anything.”
My son added in his two cents to the conversation:
“Foolish drivers cause car accidents…not like you and Dad.
People like you just have really haaaaaard screeches.”
Thanks for that, son.
