The Mothers Day Menu at our Luncheon is one of the highlights of my year. My sweet Mama hosts a luncheon for all of us girls, and plans a lovely make-ahead menu that the guys and children serve us. It’s such a special time!
Since most of us do THM, and my sister in law is gluten free, it can be quite a challenge to create a menu that accommodates all of us. But Mom put on SUCH a delicious spread last year. I thought it would be really fun to share our menu and our memories with you as you plan to celebrate the Mom’s in your life this year.
I love having a circle of special Mamas to face life with. We started by giving thanks, and then opened the meal with one of my very favorite treats: creamy chilled strawberry soup! I’ll share that recipe on Thursday.
Our main dish was a selection of sweet, spicy, and savory lettuce wraps. We had a grilled chicken, strawberry, and pecan version. Here’s a similar recipe from Pioneer Woman.
And there were these turkey and avocado wraps with the spicy kick of jalapeno.
There was also a delicious P.F. Chang inspired Asian wrap. Here is a similar recipe to the one Mom tweaked to be THM friendly. It was SO delicious that we all agreed that we’d enjoy JUST that one version this year. It’s THAT good.
For dessert, we enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie dough dip stuffed into fresh strawberries. And key lime pie with a gf crust. Holey. Moley.
We were served by our wonderful men and kiddos. They enjoyed pizza in the kitchen, and then joined us after dessert. We celebrated the newest members of the family…
and gave gifts.
Mom helped the kids make these lovely coasters with our sweet babies around the edges.
Then we got photos made with our kiddos. We tried to get a good one…
and an honest one. 🙂 And then one of my sweet Mama with all of her grandkids.
And a pretty normal amount of shenanigans were had by said grandkids.
All in all, it’s one of my favorite days of the year. I hope you have a beautiful day of commemorating the Mother’s in your life this year!
P.S. Don’t forget I’ll post the strawberry soup recipe for you on Thursday.
Here’s a printable THM Mothers Day menu, and a pinnable image for you below.

It’s true. There are always sorrows and broken places in every family, but my family is a treasure.
