OHMYGOODNESS! I just made this low carb cookie dough dip and I had to come here and post it for you. RIGHT NOW. It is SO delicious!
Back in my chubby, sugar savoring days, I was invited to a Pampered Chef party, and the lovely hostess made this AMAZING cookie dough dip.
It looked like a cheese ball, and was covered in crushed nuts, and served with graham cracker sticks. I begged for the recipe, which involved sticks (plural) of butter, whole blocks of cream cheese…you get the drill. Heavy and suWEET! I’ve often thought of it, and wondered if I could make something similar but not so…so…heavy and sweet. But then I also couldn’t think of what I’d want to use as dippers.
So, this morning, I got 4 pounds of strawberries in our co-op, and I promised the kids I would whip up a dip for them for an afternoon snack. My boy asked me if I could make cookie dough dip. PERFECT! I mixed this up in my little counter-top food processor, and it was divine, I tell you. I absolutely do not miss the heavy, thick version, nor the graham cracker sticks one bit.
This low carb cookie dough dip is still a rich and indulgent treat, but much lighter in texture, and is just insanely good. We dipped, but you could totally stuff strawberries for a party tray, or tea party!
If it’s not strawberry season, fret not…these low carb cinnamon dippers are a super tasty way to transport fluffy cookie dough dip
Here is the printable recipe for low carb cookie dough dip!
- ¾ cup (half of a 15 oz. cont.) of part skim ricotta cheese
- 4 oz. cream cheese (can use low fat)
- 2 T butter
- 2 t. vanilla extract
- Several shakes of NuNaturals Stevia Extract, or sweetener to taste
- 8-12 dark chocolate chips or broken pieces of 85% chocolate*
- pinch of salt
- Break up chocolate chips in the food processor until small pieces.
- Add remaining ingredients and blend until fluffy and well combined.
- Taste and adjust sweetness.
- Serve & enjoy!
*I use 1 square of Aldi's 85% dark chocolate, about half an ounce.

What’s your favorite way to enjoy this yummy dip?
You, my friend, have saved the day! This is delightful! And really, really scrummy!
Yay! So glad you like it!
What have you done!!!! You, clever girl! And why did I dare read this at 11:30pm???? Oh well, I’ll have visions of cookie dough dip dancing in my head tonight.
I made this last night for my Bible study gang – big hit!! Thanks so much!
Just today, my children and I made several dozen cookies to give to the USO to send to soldiers this weekend. (I used the basic cheap recipe on the back of Nestle, since most soldiers will expect that when they bite into a cookie) I have to say that the cookie dough was the most tempting thing I have seen/smelled in 2 weeks! I only let my children have one cookie after dinner and the rest are packed up in the kitchen waiting to leave tomorrow morning. When I saw this I started grinning. I will make this tomorrow and tell the children to “dig in!” Thanks so much
You’re so welcome! We love it too, and are about to take some tonight to a gathering. 🙂
Holy cow, Gwen…there is a reason I like you. That reason is THIS RECIPE.
Oooooh, I was craving some cookie dough (my weakness), and thank goodness I found this recipe! Only problem was, I didn’t have any ricotta OR cottage cheese on hand, so I used Greek yogurt instead (with extra Stevia to compensate). My 6-year-old (who still refuses to try my THM smoothies and other desserts) is currently scarfing it down (with graham crackers– I’m eating mine with strawberries). Thanks so much!
What goes well with this besides strawberries (that is on plan)? LOVE. IT. with strawberries, but the are SO expensive right now in the off season
So yummy! Where is your co-op, Gwen? We have been searching for one!
I know this is late, but I just made this and it didn’t taste like cookie dough to me. It tasted like COOKIES & CREAM…oh what a dream. I’m going to use this as a frosting. YUMMMMM!!!!!
This sounds good! I’ve made a healthy cookie dough dip before, but it was totally different than this one. I made the one on chocolatecoveredkatie.com. She uses chickpeas as the base for hers, and it is vegan (if you use vegan choc chips anyway). 🙂
On a spoon!
Serves ONE, right? I could eat it all up. Just kidding–I did see that you said 1/6 is a serving.
Just made it w/cottage cheese because I HAD to make it right away. Delish! Thanks for ALL of your great ideas.
Ha! It’s good stuff! I’m planning on making up a batch tomorrow!
LOVE YOUR RECIPES!, BUT LATELY HAVEN’T BEEN GETTING YOUR NEWSLETTER/BLOG INA WHILE, LOVE TO GET YOUR NEW RECIPES, TRIED CONTACTING YOU SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT IT, BUT STILL HAVEN’T GOTTEN IT YET.
I just made this for my daughter and myself. I am following the THM plan and she is a 14 yr old type 1 diabetic. We dipped strawberries in it. It wasn’t until after we ate it, and i was looking over the recipe to pin it, that I noticed I forgot the butter. It was yummy, and less fat! Win, win! My daughter thought it tasted like Oreo cream filling. I told her she could have the leftover for breakfast. She thinks I’m the best mom ever!
What sweetener do you use in this now? What amount would you recommend? I have THM stevia.
