Soda Pop Recipe

November 5, 2010 By Gwen Brown Leave a Comment

Here’s a yummy soda pop recipe for times when you want a treat!  I prefer to avoid high fructose corn syrup and artificial colors, but we still like special drinks.  This is what I made for the kids when they were participating in Mama’s work camp a few days ago…

It couldn’t be easier!  You’ll need

One bottle of carbonated water or seltzer water, and a container of juice concentrate.

Pour the juice concentrate into a pitcher.

Next, use the juice container and refill it four times with sparkling water.
Stir in gently, and serve over ice.

Delish!

For an extra treat, add a bit of real cream to the bottom of the glass before you pour.  Yum!

Some other yummy combinations:

  • orange soda made with orange juice (hold the pulp for me, please)
  • grape soda
  • white grape peach
  • white grape raspberry
  • orange peach=fuzzy navel soda
  • cranberry
  • cran-raspberry

The kids call this "special drink", and it's a big treat! Basically, I am just mixing juice concentrates with sparkling water. It's a delicious, high-fructose-corn-syrup & dye free way to enjoy a sparkling beverage. No guilt! We just had this today as the punch at my nephew's 2nd birthday party.

For Cream Soda, pour a couple of tablespoons of cream into the bottom of the glass before adding ice and soda. These are my most awesomely naughty recipes!
