Low carb Cinnamon Dippers are so yummy, and perfect for keeping your holiday appetizers low carb and your waistline trim. It’s also the answer to Kathryn’s request for a good alternative to enjoying this low carb cookie dough dip recipe.
The Cinnamon Dippers are a Fuel Pull on the Trim Healthy Mama plan, which means that you can enjoy a nice stash of these with S, E, or Fuel Pull toppings. How’s that for versatile! And my very favorite part is how easy these are to make.
I start with 2-3 Joseph’s Lavash breads, or Aldi’s low carb flatbreads, and cut them into a nice dipping strip shape with a sharp knife. Lay them out on a pan, and brush with a tiny bit of melted butter.
We like our cinnamon-sugar [free] mix to be pretty cinnamon-y, so I do about a half and half mix. If you enjoy it sweeter, try 2 T. of erythritol, xylitol, Truvia, or sugar free sweetener of your choice to a salt shaker, and add about a T of cinnamon. Shake to blend, and then top your dipping strips with the mix.
I baked these at 350* for about 8 minutes to get a nice golden brown and crispy chip.
Perfect for doing this…
This is just a vehicle for all manner of deliciousness! You should try these today…

And print this:
- 2-3 low carb lavash or flatbreads*
- 1 teaspoons. melted butter
- 2 tablespoons erythritol, xylitol, or Truvia from the canister
- 1-2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- Cut each flatbread into 16 pieces with a sharp knife by cutting into 4 equal strips, and then cut each strip into 4 equal pieces. You may stack the flatbread up and cut them all at once to save time.
- Lay crisps out on a baking sheet, and preheat the oven to 350*
- Brush crisps with a very small amount of melted butter to help the sugar [free] cinnamon mix stick.
- Blend cinnamon and sugar, adjusting the ratio to your liking. I like to blend them in a salt shaker or spice jar.
- Coat the crisps in a nice layer of cinnamon-'sugar'
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, until a nice golden brown. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
- Dip and enjoy!
I’m a little bit lonely this week on Trim Healthy Tuesday, as Stacy is working on something new over at Stacy Makes Cents. The great news is that Stacy AND Trim Healthy Tuesdays are both working toward some wonderful changes over the next month. Trim Healthy Tuesday is still going to continue. So stick around, and I’ll keep you posted!
In the mean time, please enjoy, link up, and don’t let me be lonely over here on Trim Healthy Tuesdays!

I’d like to try this recipe, but here in Germany you cannot buy low carb lavash or flatbread. Soo sad!
Its_Gwen says
Do you have an Aldi’s nearby? I wonder if they
would carry it if you asked?
I’ll keep looking for a homemade version. 🙂
Amanda says
My gosh, this sounds awesome! I love recipes in which the first ingredient is packaged, processed food!
Its_Gwen says
Hahaha! Well, it’s not purist approved, but it’s quick and it gets the job done. 😉
vickie says
Oh this looks so delicious. Great party food. Thanks for hosting

Thank you, Gwen, for hosting this and for sharing my pie recipe this week! I hope that those who try it enjoy it as much as I did.

I have been looking for Aldi’s low carb flatbread but I cant seem to find it. Does it say low carb?? They only had two kinds at my local store, a whole wheat version and a regular one.
Its_Gwen says
It’s a high fiber, whole grain flatbread. The numbers are on par with Joseph’s I believe.
Erica says
Think low carb tortillas would work ok?
Krista says
Thank you for all of your yummy delicious recipes! Man, I so appreciate them! 🙂 I just have one question about this one though, how in the world do you spread ONE TEASPOON of butter over all these pieces! lol I feel like I need a spray bottle!?!? lol 😉 TIA!
Gwen Brown says
It’s one teaspoon of butter per serving to keep you in FP mode. 🙂 You can switch and use egg whites if you want, but butter is yummier. I just use a brush and spread it thin!
Judy says
Beware, mine burnt to a crisp at 350 for eight min, try 3 or 4 min first, now I have to go find more lavish bread before I can have the cookie dip! I WILL get this right, lol
Gwen Brown says
Ah…pan color can definitely affect this. I baked on white parchment. Darker pans heat up a lot faster. You’ll want to watch them!
Mandy says
So can I eat the entire piece of lavash bread and all of the cookie dough dip in one sitting?
Gwen Brown says
Ha! Probably not a great idea, since the entire piece of lavash is a little more carbs than what you’d want with an S snack. I’d stick to half. 🙂 But on the bring side: your snack for later is already made!
Laurel says
How long can the Cinnamon dippers be stored? Does it make a difference if they are refrigerated or not for longer storage? I need a snack I can make ahead and easily take with me on a long summer trip that includes a conference where I won’t easily have access to refrigerated snacks.
Gwen Brown says
I store them in a sealed, dry container at room temp for extended periods. 🙂 I’d feel comfortable taking them on a trip as a snack!
Kim says
I wonder how this would do cut in small squares for Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal?
Gwen Brown says
Cut to size prior to toasting. 🙂
Shelbi says
Now throw them in a bowl and add unsweetened cashew or almond milk. Cinnamon toast crunch !
Gwen Brown says
*mind blown*
Traci says
If I was just shooting for an S, could I fry one Josephs pita in butter and use the cinammon – sugar on top?
Gwen Brown says
Yes! Sounds DELICIOUS!
Mary says
For Lavish Bread crisps when you say 1LB do you mean the whole sheet? Because 1 serving is half a sheet. That makes a differ ence.
Thanks for your help
Gwen Brown says
Oh dear…I do sometimes make mistakes, and like to correct anything that’s confusing. I’m only seeing 3-4 sheets of lavash, cut into 16 strips, with 8 strips being a serving. That would be a half sheet.
I’m not seeing anything that says a pound…can you let me know where you’re seeing that so I can correct it? Thanks for asking!
